4 Free WordPress Themes From Flexibul
Flexibul is a web design business but they have 4 free to download WordPress themes that are all pretty good. All of the themes can be downloaded here, live demo links can be found below in my mini review of each.
Luxury (Live Demo)
This theme isn’t exactly my taste. Straight out of the box I personally think it is actually rather ugly, however with a custom header image and some good content this theme could look pretty good.
Synergy (Live Demo)
This is a great looking theme, the text in the sidebar could lighten up a little bit but over all I really like it, I am growing to love white text on a gray background.
Pony (Live Demo)
This is the only theme that I don’t like at all, the font is horrifying, just like Synergy’s sidebar the text is too dark, and overall it just isn’t very attractive.
News Blog (Live Demo)
This is my absolute favorite out of the bunch. Clear text and simple design makes it really stand out. The theme looks like it is based off of Kubrick but isn’t nearly as ugly (mostly because the header isn’t just a big blue box).

Retro MacOS WordPress Theme
This is a great WordPress theme. It looks like System 6 except its for WordPress. This is suprisingly Stuart Brown’s first WordPres theme and he did a great job on it. This theme was being shown off all over Delicious and Digg and I thought I would show it to my readers.
I don’t think that anyone should use it because it is a little silly and not exactly the best looking theme by far however if you are feeling nostalgic and write about Macs a lot in your blog I’m sure you will have fun with it.

Two Themes I Dislike and One I Love
Let’s start with the theme I love just to get it out of the way so I can talk about the themes I don’t like.
First Theme - I Do Like - Blue Green [live demo]
A great looking 3 column WordPres theme that has a great style to it. The theme has a similar color scheme to the first WordPress theme that I ever used Light 1.0. That may be why I like it so much. I love how the theme handles the recent comments widget (visit the live demo to see it).
Second Theme - I Don’t Like - BlueSands [live demo]
I’m not going to say much about this theme except that it looks very similar to the WordPress admin panel and I don’t have to tell you that the WordPress admin panel is ugly.
Third Theme - I Don’t Like - Morning Mountain [live demo]
Although the theme has 3 columns which I love, a simple color scheme, which I love. The header image looks like a default Windows wallpaper and the post date look terrible. If you use this theme please get a new header image and change the background image for the post date, PLEASE.
Two Themes I like and One I Don’t
I wrote a post last week called Two themes I hate and one I love. I decided to do another post like that this week except this time I’ll have two themes I like and only one that I don’t.
First Theme I Like - Ambient Glo [live demos - fixed width, fluid width]
The theme has a great color scheme of blue green and black. As many of you know I love 3-column themes and this one is no exception. The theme also includes a readme with detailed instructions to change the default logo. It comes in two versions, a fixed and fluid width.
Second Theme I Like - Blujet [live demo]
This theme does not have 3-columns but makes up for it by having a great color scheme and simple/clean look. The main column that includes your posts is very wide showing that it is very focused on the content and not on anything else. It is also “light and breezy” which can never be bad.
Third Theme (the one I don’t like) - CityPark [live demo]
To start out with let’s look at the weird color scheme of purple and blue, those colors only go together on Easter. Although it is a 3-column theme the search box looks terrible! (I know those aren’t related but I just think the search box is ugly.
Ok so maybe if you are doing a blog about parenting targeted at Moms this could be a good theme but I don’t think that it is worth many peoples time.
